Local Healthcare Offices & Private Medical Services Policy & Procedure Changes

Due to concerns of CODIV-19, some local healthcare offices have made changes to their policies and procedures in order to keep our community healthy and safe.

All offices are taking measures to prevent and control the spread of any illness to patients and employees. Frequent hand washing, additional sanitizing of doors, counters, chairs and lobby furniture have been implemented at all offices. All medical professionals urge anyone that has been running fever, coughing, sneezing or experiencing any symptoms to please call the office before entering the building.

We have listed procedures for our local hospital, dentists, doctors and nursing homes below. We will update with more information as it becomes available to us.

Wadley Regional Medical Center at Hope – Effective Sunday, March 15, only 1 visitor over the age of 12 will be permitted in the hospital. Anyone under the age of 12 will not be allowed access. Entrances to the campus for all visitors and patients will be restricted to the main entrance only. All campus visitors will be screened upon entrance for travel, new onset fever, cough, shortness of breath and recent close contact with person who test positive for COVID -19. Family Medicine Specialists – Following same protocol as Wadley. DO NOT enter the building with a fever. Call first to speak with a nurse.

Wadley Rural Health Clinic – Following same protocol as Wadley. DO NOT enter the building with a fever. Call first to speak with a nurse.

Christus Trinity Clinic – Call the front desk before entering if you have symptoms such as fever, coughing or sneezing.

Nursing/Rehab/Assisted Living Homes
Heather Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation – Effective March 6, activated their preparedness plan for infectious diseases. Effective March 12, the facility has restricted access to visitors. For more information, you may visit their website at http://www.heathermanornursingandrehab.com/

Hope Haven – Effective March 12, Hope Haven has restricted visitors inside the facility until April 13, 2020.

Pharmacies
Allcare Pharmacy – No changes at this time. The drive thru is open

Medi -Mart Pharmacy – No changes at this time

Super One Pharmacy – No changes at this time. You may call ahead to pick up your prescription

Wal-Mart Pharmacy – No changes at this time.

Dentist Offices
Coffee Family Dental – Closed until March 30 for regular appointments. Will see patients for emergencies. If you are hurting or in pain, someone will be in the office to answer the phone. 870-777-2577

Dr. James Tyson, DDS – No changes to office hours or appointments. Preventative measures are being taken.

Dr. Robert Carter, DDS – No changes to office hours or appointments. Preventative measures are being taken to control spread of any sickness.

Sitzes Family Dentistry – No changes to office hours or appointments. Staff will inquire if you have been sick, check your temperature

Smiles of Arkansas – No changes to office hours or appointments. Staff will conduct questionnaires over the phone to verify no travel, or illness, will check temperature before your appointment. Will reschedule patients if they have been sick.

Optometrists
Irby Family Eyecare Center – No changes to office hours or appointments. Taking necessary precautions to keep patients and employees healthy and safe.

Texarkana Eye Associates – No changes to office hours or appointments
