Local Man Killed in Friday Crash

A local business man who was living in Texarkana was killed Friday night in a single-vehicle crash in Miller County.

According to the Arkansas State Police, Alex David Walker, 44, was traveling toward Texarkana on Highway 67 near Fulton at about 10:30 p.m. on Friday, February 15 when his 2010 Chevrolet Camaro veered off the right side of the highway and struck a culvert. Walker was pronounced dead on scene by Miller County Coroner Dakota Boyd at 11:55 p.m.

Walker, who went to school in Hope, also operated a barber shop in Hope.

The crash is being investigated by Trooper Dale Young of the Arkansas State Police.
