Lucille Rogers

Mrs. Lucille Rogers, age 83 of Hope, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Heather Manor in Hope, Arkansas. She was born September 5, 1935 in Emmet, Arkansas to George Thurman and Daisy Marie Smart Johnson. Mrs. Rogers was an agent for the Arkansas Gazette Newspaper and owned her own business, Lucille’s Alternations, where she did local alterations. She also attended Garrett Memorial Baptist Church in Hope, Arkansas. Mrs. Rogers was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 56 years Cecil Rogers, five brothers, Herschel, James, Gilbert, Ottis, and Jake “Johnson”, and two sisters Pearl Hoskins and Loriece Taylor Cash.
Survivors include a son Ray Rogers wife Mary of Dale, TX, a daughter Diane Ward husband Ronnie of Spring Hill, AR, three grandchildren, Jeremy Ward wife Christy, Miguel Gonzales, Shane Murrieta, four great grandchildren, Ellery, Brooke, Kristen (John), Allie, Lincoln, two great great grandchildren, Isabella, John, and numerous other family and friends.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Thursday, December 13, 2018 at BRAZZEL/Oakcrest Funeral Home 1001 South Main St. Hope, Arkansas 71801.
Funeral service will be 2:00 pm, Friday, December 14, 2018 at BRAZZEL/Oakcrest Funeral Home with Bro. Clif Johnson officiating. Burial to follow at Evening Shade Cemetery in Hope, Arkansas. Arrangements are with BRAZZEL/Oakcrest The Funeral Home of Hope, Eddie, BRAZZEL, Director.
