Allahlea 'Allie' Clydie Brown

Allahlea “Allie” Clydie Brown entered her heavenly home on Thursday November 24, 2022. She was born March 22,1927, to Elmer and Velma Altman in Fort Worth, Texas. She met Virgil Brown after graduating high school and they married in 1948. They moved to Texas where her husband worked in oil fields. In 1960, they decided to move to Blevins for a new life on the farm.

Brown spent much of life working as a secretary for Land O' Lakes, Stephens Grocery Company and later Logan Grocery Company, but her favorite job started after her retirement. She began getting calls from the Blevins School District to work as a substitute. She loved that job and worked in any classroom where she was needed until one month before her 85th birthday. She loved all those kids and they loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Ed Altman, and her husband of 62 years, Virgil Brown.

She is survived by her only daughter, Clydie Hinton, Clydie's husband Steve, one grandson, Justin Hinton, his wife Heather, granddaughter Brittany Humphries, her husband Brandon, special nephew Robert “Bud” Altman, three great-granddaughters and a host of extended family and friends.

Visitation will be 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm Sunday, November 27, 2022, at Bruce Memorial Methodist Church. Funeral service will follow at 2:00pm with Rev. Joe Miller officiating. Burial to follow in Marlbrook Cemetery. Online condolences: www.brazzelfuneralhomes.com
