Ava Nell Honeycutt Formby, age 88, of Hope, Arkansas passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 13, 2023. Ava was born at home in McCaskill, Arkansas to John Leslie Honeycutt and Esther Mae York Honeycutt on September 28, 1935. She was a lifelong faithful member of the Patmos Church of Christ.
Mom did many great things for her family, but the greatest gift was being a faithful Christian and taking her kids and grandkids to church.
Ava was raised at the Experiment Station in Hope, Arkansas where she had a wonderful childhood. She graduated from Hope High School in 1953, where she was voted FFA Sweetheart and Class Beauty.
Ava was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 57 years Theo Formby; two brothers, Gilbert Honeycutt, and baby Reese.
Ava is survived by two sons, Duane Formby and wife Belinda, and David Formby; one daughter, Cheryl Banks and husband Gary Lee all of Patmos, Arkansas. A daughter-in-law Vanassa Formby; and a lifelong friend Mary Ann Flowers Tarpley; two nephews, Mark Honeycutt and Steve Formby; two nieces, Suzanne Formby Marshall and Stacy Formby Taggart; eight grandchildren, David Formby, Aimie Formby Barnett, Steve Formby, Jamie Formby, Amber Formby Stroud, Chelsey Banks Mills, Fallon Formby Scoggins, and Chaley Banks Porter. Nineteen great grandchildren, Luke, Brooklyn, Colt, Jacob, Jessie, Madison, Westin, Maverick, Anna, Whitt, Knightley, Marshall, Jaxson, Everley, Maurie, Jagger, Jase, Mackston, and Lawley; one great-great grandchild, Sterling.

Visitation will be held 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home in Hope. Family will also receive friends Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at Patmos Church of Christ at 10:00 a.m.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at Patmos Church of Christ with Bro. David Formby officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Nebo Cemetery, under the direction of Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Homes-Hope.
