Barbara Jean Flowers Jackson went to be with the Lord on her birthday, October 29, 2024.  Barbara was born on October 29, 1930 to Sidney Alfred Flowers and Reba Corinne Stark Flowers in Springhill, Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother S.A.Flowers and her husband and sweetheart Joe Hollis Jr.

She is survived by her husband, Romey Jackson of Hope, and brother

Wayne Flowers of Texarkana , Texas, one son, Sidney Wayne Hollis of Hope, daughter Cindy Hollis Chance and husband David of Fayetteville. Ar.  Four granddaughters, Jennifer Hollis of Hope, Bree Howard Daniel and husband Wesley of Greenwood, Arkansas, Katy Kauffman Maus and husband Drew of Wichita, Kansas and Hollis Kauffman Cluley and husband Kenneth of Wichita Falls, Texas.  Special granddaughter Angela Thompson Applegate. Nieces and nephew Martha Flowers Haynie, Jeff Flowers, and JeanAnn Flowers Luker.

She was a wonderful mother and even better Nanny to her great-grandchildren, Rylee, Cooper, and Gracie Daniel, Reece and Dean Maus, and Ward and Millie Cluley.

Barbara was a loyal friend to many, loved her family fiercely, but loved her Jesus most.  Special thank you to Johnnie Fay Odom for her steadfast love.  We will miss you Momma.  Donations can be made to Bethany Baptist Church, Springhill, Arkansas and to Brother Mike and Sister Mona Ward.

Visitation will be held 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 1, 2024 at Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home. 

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at New Hope Cemetery with Bro. Mike Ward officiating under the direction of Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home.
