Billie Irene Lockeby, 87, of Delight, AR, died December 16, 2022.  She was born April 21, 1935 in Bowen, AR, to Mary Evy Stark and Rufus Franklin Stone.   She married Carlos “Bolly” Lockeby August 4, 1951.

She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two brothers and five sisters. Billie is survived by one sister Mindy May, of Delight; one son, Mark Lockeby, of Delight; two daughters Rebecca Chambers (Richard) of Bentonville, AR; Peggy Starling Couvillon (David) of Port Allen, LA.  Seven Grandchildren: Robyn Ledbetter (Ryan); Jaime Clark (Joe); Bevin Lockeby (Shelbie); Samantha Tuberville (Kyle); Nick Lockeby; Lewis Chambers and Jeremy Chambers.  Six Great grandchildren: Starling, Virginia, Madden, Moxon, James and Louie Dean.   Her children and grandchildren called her Mammaw Billie, Mammaw B and just “B.” She had two bonus daughters: Connie Riley and Vicky Ivy and one special bonus granddaughter, Trista Howard.

She was a member of Delight First Baptist Church and oversaw the flowers at the church for many years.  She was an expert seamstress and she loved hand-sewing quilts with her sisters.  The ultimate gift was receiving one of the sisters’ handmade quilts.  She was an avid gardener and loved canning and working in the yard.

Some of her happiest times was having all of her family gather together where she prepared some of the family’s favorite dishes. 

Visitation will be 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Wednesday December 21, 2022 at BRAZZEL/Cornish 1196 Hwy 371 Prescott Arkansas 71857
