Birdie Juanell Rook, age 90, of Bryant, Arkansas passed away on June 17, 2022, in a local nursing home.

Mrs. Rook was born on February 28, 1932 in Powderly, Texas to her parents William and Cora Rothwell. She worked many years in retail at Walmart, loved sewing, and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James “Red” Rook; sisters, Addie Coslin, Betty Rook; brothers, Lloyd Rothwell, Herbert Rothwell, and Jimmy Rothwell.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, David Rook and wife Karoline, Rhonda Rook Baldridge and husband Rodney, Rita Rook Reed and husband John; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Visitation will be 6:00pm – 8:00pm on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at Herndon Fuqua Funeral Home.

Graveside service will be at 10:00am on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at Memory Gardens Cemetery with Bro. Charles Purtle officiating under the direction of Herndon Fuqua Funeral Home.
