Brickey Dee Fife

Brickey Dee Fife passed away November 22, 2023. He was born in Heber Springs Arkansas on July 30,1954, to Shurman & Mary Jo Carr Fife.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Earnest Fife and Micheal Fife, grandparents Ida & Claude Bittle, H.T. Fife, Joe & Mary Carr, daughter, Elizabeth, and grandson, Rex Sundberg.

He is survived by his wife Patsy, daughters, Vanessa Hendrix (Casey) Benton AR, Valerie Sundberg (Chris) Hope AR, grandsons, Samuel Hendrix and Chase Sundberg, brother, Junior Fife (Sharon), many nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.

Brickey was a faithful member of Garrett Memorial Baptist Church for 45 years, as well as a Deacon and Sunday School teacher. His faithfulness to his Lord and Savior was an example and inspiration to all who knew him.

Many knew he was a natural athlete through the years. Basketball, volleyball, softball, and golf were a big part of his life. He carried that passion into coaching elementary basketball for his grandson’s team.

Brickey was a hard-working businessman, manager, and employee. His career started in Batesville, AR at Goodyear Co. which brought his family to El Dorado and Hope.

He opened Prescott Tire & Service in 1981. He and Patsy owned the Western Auto (Prescott) from 1995-2007. The next years led him to manage the Hempstead County Farm Co-op, to then work at the John Deere dealership, and finally to retire from AHTD in 2021. He led us all with humbleness, wisdom, and his faith.
