Charles Henry Milam, 91, of Shreveport, LA passed away peacefully on April 28, 2026, surrounded by the love and comfort of his family.
Charlie was born on November 4, 1934, in Nevada County, Arkansas to Huey and Beulah Miliam. Father and son began Milam and Son Construction and later became Milam Construction and Repairing Houses, Building, and Churches in Prescott and the surrounding area.
Charlie always loved being around family and attending family gatherings. He was known by his cousin Paul, as “Windy” because he enjoyed talking to everyone. He was always there when anyone needed him. He loved traveling all over the U.S. but would never fly! He loved going camping and spent almost every weekend teaching the kids to water ski behind his boat.
Charlies was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Nina and husband Fred Williams; son-in-law, Steve Cox; grandson, Jason and Kim Cox; along with numerous family and friends who welcomes hum into eternal rest.
He leaves behind a wife of 71 years, Pat Milam; three daughters, Lynn Cox, Debbie Milam, and Kim (Mike) Burton; one sister, Betty (Roy) Rodgers; four grandchildren, Brian (Jo) Cox, Justin (Jenny) Cox, Kayla Burson (Mat Lasyone), Kellen (Margaret) Gunnels; He had nine great grandchildren, Nikki (Daniel), Chase (Courtney), Caleb, Colby (Lauren), Haley (Chase), Harleigh, Abby, Andrew, and Ella; Also blessed with ten great-great grandchildren with one on the way; and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Graveside services will be in DeAnn Cemetery on June 6, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in Prescott, Arkansas under the direction of Brazzel-Cornish Funeral Home with Bro. Donnie Dillard officiating. Brady Rhoades will provide inspirational music.
