Charles R. Byers Sr ., 88, of Hope, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2020 in Hope. He was born January 15, 1932 in Hope, Arkansas to Olin F. and Rachel Gibson Byers.

He was a Veteran of the Korean War and worked 30 years in quality control for Dresser Industry. He moved back to Hope after retiring. Charles loved to rebuild Farm-All Tractors and working in his garden.    

Mr. Byers is preceded in death by parents, wife, Dot Byers; son, Ricky Byers; stepson, Bruce Lofton; three brothers, Bob, Marlin and Ronnie Byers.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Scott Byers and wife Jenny of Hope, AR; daughter, Debbie Roberts husband Donnie of Mabank, TX; daughter-in-law, Terri Byers of The Woodlands, TX; three brothers, Carroll Byers, Roy Byers and Howard Byers; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Graveside service will be 11:00am Friday, March 20, 2020 at Shover Springs Baptist Church. Bro. Eric Barbaree will officiate under the direction of Herndon Fuqua Funeral Home.
