Christy Deann Norrell, 42, of Hamburg, died Monday, September 9, 2024, at the River Regional Medical Center in Vicksburg, Mississippi. Mrs. Norrell was a native of Crossett, a resident of Hamburg for most of her life and a 2000 graduate of Fountain Hill High School. She was a loving homemaker and a member of the Eden Baptist Church. Mrs. Norrell was an avid Arkansas Razorback fan and she enjoyed traveling, hunting and fishing. She was a very involved Archery and Boy Scout Mom, loved every child she met as if they were her own and was known as Mimi to many. Mrs. Norrell was a giver of her time and love, never met a stranger and was always willing to help anyone in need even after overcoming a heart transplant in 2017.

            She is preceded in death by her son, George William Norrell in 2020; a granddaughter, Ava Pacheco; her parents, John Eric and Cynthia Nutt Evans; her brother, Eric "Ricky" Evans and a cousin, Misty Lynn Bridges.

            She is survived by her husband, of 22 years, Jimmy Don Norrell of Hamburg; a son, Daryl Norrell and wife, Cheyenne, of Star City; a daughter, Cheyenne Barker; her mother-in-law, Kathy Barker Norrell; two brothers, Casey Huff and Jessy Nutt, all of Hamburg; nine grandchildren and one special niece, Rosaleigh.

            Funeral services are 10 a.m., Saturday, September 14, 2024, in the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Cody Williams officiating.  Burial will be in the Crossroads Cemetery.  Pallbearers are Petey Rice, Chris Rice, Shelby Knight, Chris Knight, Dewayne Bussell and Eric Montgomery.  Honorary pallbearers are the members of the Boy Scout Troop 5 of Hope and the members of the 2010-2017 Hamburg School District Archery Teams.
