David Andrew McCartney, 51, of Prescott passed away Thursday, November 23, 2023, in Prescott.

David was born July 12, 1972, in Green Bay, WI to Robert Lee and Maria Martinez McCartney, Sr.

David moved here from Florida 12 years ago. He met and became friends with his neighbors. He was a kind and caring person who would help anyone in need. He was raised in Florida and loved fishing. When he moved here he began to hunt and enjoy nature. David cared for animals, but Turbo was his beloved friend. David truly loved spending time with his family every day. David spent his last days around family laughing and enjoying the time God gave him.

David was preceded in death by his father Robert Lee McCartney, Sr.  Survivors include his mother, Maria Scheibe; siblings, Robert McCartney Jr, Leona Zaviska, James McCartney, and Jeremiah McCartney; nephews Robert Ortiz, Nathanial McCartney, and Jeremiah Carr (Esmira); nieces Alayna McCartney and Thyme McCartney; a host of cousins and friends.

Memorial service is scheduled 1:00pm Thursday, December 7, 2023 at Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home of Prescott.
