Deborah Kay Nix, age 70, of Hope, Arkansas passed away on July 5, 2023, in Texarkana, Texas. 

Mrs. Nix was born on February 28, 1953, in Hope, Arkansas to her parents Celeborn and Oma Nix. She spent her days working as a secretary and her free time going to the casinos. 

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, David Nix; along with all of her uncles and aunts. 

Left to cherish her memory are her cousins, Jimmy McAdams of Ashdown, Arkansas, Linda Gazzolo of Texarkana, Texas, Judy Tomlin of Kilgore, Texas, Wayne McAdams of Ashdown, Arkansas, Phillip McAdams of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Gill McAdams of California, Glenda Helms of Texarkana, Arkansas, Ronnie Lockard of Pensacola, Florida, Scott Tomlin of San Antonio, Texas.  

Visitation will be held 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. at Ayers Cemetery under the direction of Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home.
