Dillard Powell, age 80, of Hope, Arkansas passed away on December 1,
2023 at home surrounded by family.
Mr. Powell was born on January 15, 1943 in Hope, Arkansas to his parents
Joel and Mary Powell. He had a love for roofing and gardening, especially
growing his watermelons.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Doyle Powell, James
“Buddy” Powell, Virgil Powell; sisters, Etta Bell Hawthorne, Alene Stagner;
and son, Ronnie Powell.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 61 years, Joyce Powell; two
sons, Ray Powell (Dana), Richard Powell (Heather); nine grandchildren,
Chase, Chance, Chelsea, Autumn, Nicole, Daniel, Kalyne, Dallas, Grace;
thirteen great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 4, 2023 at
Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home, Hope.
Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home
with Bro. Curtis Bobo and Bro. Justin Myers officiating. Burial will be at
Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Herndon-Fuqua Funeral
Home.
