Elizabath (Bess) Knox was born on September 1, 1919 to the late Lucilindy(Lucy) and George Nixon. Elizabeth. She graduated from McRae High School. After graduating school, she married Roy Knox in 1943 and resided in Prescott. Eventually, they moved to Texarkana Arkansas and started a family. They were blessed with 5 children: Peggy Knox and Rowenia Cheatham of Texarkana. Roy Knox (Pamela) and Cheryl Knox of Houston, TX and Virginia Diane Knox. Elizabeth was a housewife, sometimes did domestic work, a lover of flowers and was known as a great cook.
Elizabeth was precededed in death by her parents Lucy and George Nixon. Her husband: Roy Knox. Her brothers: Tom Dixon, Leon, Randolph, W.C(T), and Geroge Nixon. Her sisters: Hazel Nixon, Virginia (Bill) Blake and Rachel (C.G) Moncrief. Children: Virginiia Diane and Roy Knox.
Mourning her departure yet cherishing the beautiful memories of her love and devotion is her sister: Irene Nixon. Her children: Peggy Knox and Rowenia Cheatham of Texarkana. Celebration of Life will be held Saturday January 27, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Word of Life Church, 1815 Rose St. Texarkana AR 71854, with Pastor Joyce Rockwell Bennett officiating. Burial will follow at Deann Cemetary in Prescott, Arkansas.
