Elizabath (Bess) Knox was born on September 1, 1919 to the late Lucilindy(Lucy) and George Nixon. Elizabeth. She graduated from McRae High School. After graduating school, she married Roy Knox in 1943 and resided in Prescott. Eventually, they moved to Texarkana Arkansas and started a family. They were blessed with 5 children: Peggy Knox and Rowenia Cheatham of Texarkana. Roy Knox (Pamela) and Cheryl Knox of Houston, TX and Virginia Diane Knox. Elizabeth was a housewife, sometimes did domestic work, a lover of flowers and was known as a great cook.

Elizabeth was precededed in death by her parents Lucy and George Nixon. Her husband: Roy Knox. Her brothers: Tom Dixon, Leon, Randolph, W.C(T), and Geroge Nixon. Her sisters: Hazel Nixon, Virginia (Bill) Blake and Rachel (C.G) Moncrief. Children: Virginiia Diane and Roy Knox.

Mourning her departure yet cherishing the beautiful memories of her love and devotion is her sister: Irene Nixon. Her children: Peggy Knox and Rowenia Cheatham of Texarkana. Cheryl Knox of Houston TX. Grandchildren: Rehema (Phillip) Pete of Suisun City, CA, Fauneil (Anthony) Knox-Clayton, of Texarkana, TX, Moturi Bryant of Richmond, CA, Gamel (Murial) Swift Sr. of McAlester, OK, Mario (Likita) Swift Sr of McAlester, OK, Vanterrio Knox of Dallas, TX, Kody (Malorie) Knox of Sulphur, LA, Chelsea Knox. Great Grandchildren: Kimberly Knox of Ft Worth, TX, Seraya (Joseph) Herberger of Washington DC, Chamel Swift of Oklahoma City, OK, Gamel Swift Jr of Texarkana, AR, Phillip Pete J of Suisun City, CA, Lexus Swift of McAlester, OK, Marlon Price Jr of Greenville, KY, Mersadez Swift, of McAlester, OK, Latavia Swift of Texarkana, TX, Slade Shove- Knox, Luke Knox, and Mario Swift Jr of Dallas, TX, Channing Clayton of Texarkana, TX, Kase Knox of Sulphur, LA, Madison and Korben Knox of Houston, TX, Kealia Randle and Kaec Randle of Houston, TX. Great Great Grandchildren: Jouel Lynden of Oklahoma City, Ok and Amila Ruiz of McAlister, OK. and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. 

Celebration of Life will be held Saturday January 27, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Word of Life Church, 1815 Rose St. Texarkana AR 71854, with Pastor Joyce Rockwell Bennett officiating. Burial will follow at Deann Cemetary in Prescott, Arkansas.
