Francis Ree McFadden

Francis Ree McFadden was born on May 20, 1949 to Lillie Ree Edwards and Calvin McFadden. Francis departed this life on December 1, 2022 at Wadley Regional Medical Hospital in Texarkana, Texas at the age of 73.

While growing up, Francis attended Hope Public Schools in Hope, Arkansas. After school she became a cook and worked at El Matador Restaurant for several years. She also went on to work for Hudson Foods and then Tyson Foods until her health failed.

Before God called Francis to her heavenly home, she was a faithful member of Mt. Zion CME Church. She loved spending time with her church family, her children and grandchildren. Francis will be dearly missed and remembered forever.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lillie Ree Edwards and Calvin McFadden; her grandparents, Otis and Ida Edwards; her sister, Dorothy Jean Edwards; her son-in-law, John Nelson; and her niece, Sharon Booker.

Francis leaves the following loved ones to cherish her memories: daughters, Jackie (Leon) Anderson, Jewell Waters, Lillie Nelson, and Lucy (David) McFadden; grandchildren, Keisha (Michael) Purifoy, Earl Waters, Jazzma Waters, Jonleisha Nelson, and John Nelson Jr.; brother, Calvin McFadden Jr.; uncle, Roscoe Edwards; special niece, Dyeisha Gipson; special cousin, Carol Smith; extended family, Joyce Ogden and the Carrigan Family; best friends, Lenora Johnson Wood, Marilyn Trotter, Mary Lois Williams, and Patricia Parks; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
