Gary Hollen Baker, age 82, of Bodcaw, Arkansas passed away on March 12, 2025 in Shreveport, LA. He was born on October 31, 1942, to Hollen and Ruth Baker in Bodcaw, Arkansas.
He was a member of Bodcaw #1 Baptist Church and served in the National Guard for four years. He retired from Roadway Express, earning the Two Million Miles achievement. He had a passion for gardening, hunting, and fishing. In his 80's, he discovered a new love for cutting and raking hay alongside his son and grandson.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his son, Allen Baker.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 60 years Judy Baker, son Scott and Loretta Baker, grandaughters Brittany and Evan Hartness, Amber and Danny Landes, and Tiffany Baker, a great-grandson Aiden Hartness, a special nephew Mark and Dorothy Baker, and beloved sister in law Jan Allen, two sisters Marilyn Carlton and Wanda Baker, one brother Jimmy Baker, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday March 16, 2025 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the Brazzel Oakcrest Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM in the Oakcrest Chapel, with Bro. Ed Phillips and Bro. Charli Warren officiating. Burial to follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
