George William Colbert was born February 16, 1941 to Isaac and Fredia Mae Colbert.  Mr. Colbert joined St. Mark Baptist Church at the early age of 10 years old.

George is survived by two children, Anthony and Stacy.  George Jr. preceded his father in death.

Mr. Colbert’s father, mother, brother Roger Wayne and sister Gaylon Sue preceded him in death.

He is survived by six brothers and sisters, Patricia Rose, Barbara Jean (John Hall), Donnell Joe (Fannie Colbert), Roy Edward (Beatrice Colbert), Estella Colbert and Ceasar Augustus.  George has three grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral service will be 1pm Monday, March 9, 2020 at St. Mark Baptist Church, 528 Nevada County Road 255, Prescott.  Burial will be at Sweet Home Cemetery in Prescott.  Mr. Colbert will lie in state 1 hour prior to services.  Arrangements entrusted to Hicks Funeral Home, Inc.
