Glen Ray Ford

Glen Ray Ford, 88 of Hope, died Sunday, November 24, 2024.  Glen was born October 10, 1936 in Denton, TX to the late Lawton and Vada Vernell (Trice) Ford.  

Glen was a graduate of Denton High School.    He was a long-time cattle rancher, was a market reporter for the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service, and former owner of Hope Livestock Auction. He was appointed to and continued to serve on the Hope School Board for a number of years.  He was a Deacon, Sunday School Superintendent, and choir member at Calvary Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Teresa LaMar (Williams) Ford; children Glenda Beard and husband Dr. Mike Beard of Conway, Lanny Ford and wife Melanie of Blevins, and Darrell Ford and wife Lacie of Hope; sisters Mary Henry of Friendswood, TX and Gail Simpkins of Denton, TX; grandchildren Elyse Sublett, Ethan Beard, Kade Ford and wife Kaylee, Kylan Ford, Grace Turner and husband Tanner, Aubrie Ford, Brie Ford and Kayla Ford; and great-grandchildren Avery Bolling, Cody Sublett, Charlie Ford, Jackson Ford, Brantley Ford, Lecks LeForce Turner and Beckett Ford.

Funeral service will be at 2pm Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at Brazzell Oakcrest Funeral Home, with visitation one hour prior.  Burial will follow at Memory Gardens in Hope.
