Herbert Harace Parmer, 81, of Hope, Arkansas, passed away on October 12, 2025, at his
home.

Mr. Parmer was born on March 15, 1944, in Emmet, AR. to Netty Jean and Ben Henry
Parmer.

In his younger years, he attended Guernsey High School and enjoyed playing many
sports.

He was a member of Guernsey Baptist Church.

In his free time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. His family remembers him as hardly
ever having a serious moment, and always telling jokes, as well as being a “world-class
flirt”. He also enjoyed tinkering with small engines and made a business of it for himself.

Herbert is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Henry Parmer.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Herbert Paremer Jr., John Scott Parmer,
Robert Parmer, Amanda Barbre, and Monica Parmer; five grandchildren, Josie Rucker,
Marleigh Hanson, Chloe Bittle, Sydney Barbre, and Matt Barbre; his sister Gwen Hill
and her daughter Dawn; his life-partner Phyllis Malone; as well as a host of other
relatives and friends.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Herndon- Fuqua Funeral Home.
