James “Bo Pete” Trotter
Mr. James Thomas Trotter, age 72 of Texarkana, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, December 18th, 2022. James, affectionately called “Bo Pete,” was born Sunday, March 5th, 1950 in McNab, AR, the son of Linzell Marshall and Alvin (Ed) Trotter.
James attended Howard County Training School located in Tollette, AR. He worked for FLSmidth Corporation for many years. Bo Pete was well known for his hard work ethic and his one-of-a-kind personality.
Bo Pete also had a great passion for horses. Throughout his life, he taught and passed on the legacy of horse riding to his children, grandchildren, as well as anyone he came in contact with. Mr. Trotter will remain in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
He is preceded in death by his son, Stacy Trotter; granddaughter, Ma’Kayla Trotter; parents, Ed and Alvin P. Trotter; father, Linzell Marshall; brother, Ed Trotter Jr.; grandparents, John G. Marshall and Ra’Della Hood.
James “Bo Pete” Trotter leaves behind a huge family to continue his legacy: 14 children, James Trotter of Texarkana, AR, Angela Cheatham, Linda Balance, and Brenda (Patrick) Shepard all of Hope, AR, Stacy Burton of Fulton, AR, Tracy Trotter of Texarkana, TX, Myrle Trotter of Hope, AR, Dywanna (Gamal) Calhoun of Memphis, Tennessee, Jonathan Trotter and Terell Trotter both of Hope, AR, Areeyon Thornton of Arlington, TX, Carlos Butler of Texarkana, AR, Stacy Rowe of Tollette, AR, and Mekia Green of Texarkana, TX; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-greatgrandchildren; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and family friends.
