James Henry Sinyard

James Henry Sinyard, age 86 of Hope, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2020 at his home.  Henry was born October 12, 1933 to Lee Andrew and Florence Rebecca Kingery Sinyard in the Springhill community on Battlefield Loop.

Henry was a graduate of the 1952 class of Patmos High School.  He was a manager and a top salesman for Life of Georgia Insurance.  In 1970, he sought for and was elected Hempstead County Sheriff and Collector where he served from 1971 to 1980.  After retiring from Sheriff, he ran a sawmill for 15 years.  In the past years he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family and close friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers, and six sisters.

Henry is survived by his wife of 67 years, Edith Rae Wright Sinyard, three children; Nancy Rhea Knoll of Hope, Mike Sinyard and wife Kit of Lebanon, Tennessee, and Kathryn Ann Davis of Hope, five grandchildren; Amy Michelle Knoll of Hope, Benjamin Michael Davis of Hope, James Andrew Sinyard of Lebanon, Tennessee, Christie Davis Carroll and Chad Davis, both of Austin, Texas, two great grandchildren; Jace Riley Brown and Sadie Addison Knoll, both of Hope, one brother, LA Sinyard of Hope, and many nieces, nephews, and close friends.

The family would like to express their deep appreciation to Dierkson Hospice Care for their love and care.  Also, thank you to all the family and friends that have showed their gratitude and love during this time.

Family graveside services will be held at a later date.
