James Ronald “Ronnie” Hankins, 76 of Hope, Arkansas passed away Monday, July 6, 2020 in Texarkana, Texas. He was born February 15, 1944 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to Joe and Nell Steelman Hankins.

Ronnie was a member of Hope Church of Christ. He ran Home Furniture store for over 40 years. After the sale of the store he worked for Wilson Furniture where he continued to gladly serve the people of Hope. 

Mr. Hankins is preceded in death by his parents and wife of over 50 years, Ruth Hankins.

He is survived by his bonus mom, Eddie Hankins of Missouri; one sister, Sherrie Sorenson of New York; one son, Jay Hankins of Hope; one daughter Julie Harrington and her husband James of Hope; eight grandchildren, Brittany Hathcock, Colton Hathcock and wife Hanna, Rae Harrington, Brook Wibbelsman and husband Shane, Kolby Hankins, Drake Harrington, Lexie Hankins and Harlie Harrington; five great grandchildren which kept him going Lilah, Kreedon, Jackson, Jade and Lena.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Dementia Society of America or Rainbow of Challenges.

Graveside service will be held 11:00am Friday, July 10, 2020 at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery Prescott, AR. Barry Haynes and Don Tate will officiate under the direction of Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home Hope.
