Jimmy “Bub” Joe Jester, 63 of Prescott, Arkansas passed away Thursday, August 21,
2025 at his home.

Bub was born September 27, 1961, to Bobby Joe “Pete” Jester and Helen Cathryn
“Cat” Elmore Jester in Prescott, Arkansas. During his childhood he loved running
around with all of his cousins. In school he was never lacking in the friend’s
department. He worked his senior year at the feed mill in Prescott.

After graduating from Prescott High School in 1980 Bub worked at IP and then at
Fafnir until it closed. He then went on to work in construction until his motorcycle wreck
in 1991 in Idaho. After his wreck he overcame the odds and learned how to live again.
He came back to Prescott where he lived with his parents. Bub never met a stranger in
this world; everyone was a friend. He loved to go camping, fishing, hunting, and riding
his Kubota around Boughton to collect rent. If someone came to visit, he would throw
the dominoes on the table and say "lets play", while drinking a lukewarm Dr. Pepper. He would argue with his sisters, Denise and Darlene (who he always thought was at
Wal-Mart shopping) but would do anything in the world for them.

Bub was preceded by his parents; maternal grandparents, Elsie and Harold Elmore;
fraternal grandparents, Doyle and Winderleen Jester.

Bub is survived by two sisters, Denise Stubbs (Rick) and Darlene Young; nephews,
James Stubbs (Lexi), Nick Stubbs (Madison), and Bobby Young (Candace); nieces,
Courtney Roach (Kevin), Theresa Powell (Timmy), and Breanna Kirkley (Chad);
numerous great-nieces and great nephews.

Visitation will be held 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Herndon-
Fuqua Funeral Home of Prescott.

Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00pm Sunday, August 24, 2025, at the Herndon-
Fuqua Funeral Home Chapel in Prescott with Bro. Joey Christopher and Bro. Neal
Ridling officiating.  Interment to follow at Piney Grove Cemetery, under the direction of
Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home of Prescott.
