Jody “Boots” Harmon

11-19-1975 to 12-10-22

Jody passed away Saturday morning at his residence in Hope, Arkansas.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Clinton and Lorene Browning, his paternal grandparents: Joe and Amarylis Harmon, and his father, Jep Mitchell Harmon and step-mother Ginger Harmon Wade.

He is survived by his son, Cannon Harmon, his mother, Nelda Browning Hicks, and his sisters, Lori Harmon and Tawana Jeffries and his brother Zach Hicks. He is also survived by several aunts and uncles and loving cousins. Jody was loved by many and considered family by a host of loving friends.

Jody was an incredibly loyal friend to people in all walks of life. He served his country as a Marine. Many people think of Jody as a modern day cowboy as he spent much of his life working with cattle and agriculture. He loved many things including his son Cannon (whom he called “Cannonball”), music, antiques, visiting, and stories. He was a wonderful storyteller and wonderful company to his friends. He was a unique, beloved friend.

A memorial service is set for 2pm January 14th at the Scout Hut at Lake Huckabee in Fair Park. All who knew and loved Jody are invited to attend.
