Joseph "Joe" Howard Bolls

Joseph “Joe” Howard Bolls, 90, of Prescott passed away Thursday, November 17, 2022. “Pa Pa” or “Poppa Joe” as he was called, was born January 25, 1932 to Thomas Floyd and Hattie Amanda Johnson Bolls in Laneburg, AR. 

Joe graduated from Camden in 1950 and married the love of his life, Elizabeth Harley Bolls, on September 15, 1950. He retired from the telecommunication industry and enjoyed bird watching.

Joe is preceded by his wife of 71 years; his parents; daughter, Veda Sue Bolls; son, Stan Bolls; sister and brother-in-law, Sue Bolls Wilson and J.L. Wilson; grandchild, Jonathan Roper; and great-grandson, William Weaver

Joe is survived by a son, Hal Bolls; daughter, Deborah Roper; eight grandchildren, Christopher Bolls, Jason Bolls, Noah Bolls, Shawn Bolls, Adrian Gutherie, Jeff Gutherie, Amanda Meador, Hanna Hatchcock; and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation is scheduled 1:00-2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home in Prescott. Graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at New Salem Cemetery with Bro. Mike Cross officiating, under the direction of Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home.
