Keith Lovell Porter (55) passed away unexpectedly on May 29, 2020. Keith was born in Hope, Arkansas on May 10, 1965 and lived most of his life in Chicago, IL. in childhood, he and his younger brother always looked forward to coming to visit family and friends in Arkansas. He often spoke of how he enjoyed those summer visits with his grandparents and cousins, as an adult. Keith was blessed to raise a beautiful family while building a career with United Airlines. Keith worked for United Airlines for over 20 years until an untimely illness forced his retirement. His loyalty and hard work earned him the position of ramp supervisor, while Keith loved sports (Go CUBS!) good food, laughter, his family most of all Keith loved God.
Keith is preceded in death by his mother, Martha Ann Porter and his grandparents, Arlee and Mable Braggs. He leaves behind his father, Louis P. Porter; sisters, Dr. Stephanie Delice, Dr. Tameka Porter, Nancy Davis and brother, Perrin Porter; sister-in-law, Pamela Porter and brother, Richard Porter. He is survived by his children, Jonathan, Kortne, Taylor and Ryan Porter; five grandchildren, numerous loving aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins and lifelong friends.
The Porter Family, out of an abundance of concern for family and friends will not hold in door service due to the risk of COVID-19. A short outdoor service will be held at the cemetery. The family asks that appropriate social distancing be observed and that all in attendance wear masks unless prohibited for health reasons.
Visitation for Mr. Porter will be 1-2pm Sunday at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 1pm Monday, June 15, 2020 at Scott’s Memorial Gardens, Perrytown, AR. Arrangements entrusted to Hicks Funeral Home, Inc.
