Mr. Kenneth Edward Yocom, from Spring Hill, AR passed away on March 27, 2024. Kenneth was born July 13, 1941 in Spring Hill, AR to Perry and Ida Mae Yocom. On October 18, 1963, he married the love of his life, Carolyn Arnold Yocom and together they raised two children, Rhonda and Jody.
Kenneth was a truck driver for Meyers Bakery, retiring after 25+ years of service and was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. He and his family enjoyed many years camping at Lake Greeson and he was happiest when he was spending time with his family. He also enjoyed visiting with his friends at the deer camp, listening to country music, watching westerns and never turned down a slice of chocolate pie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife of 50 years, Carolyn, two brothers, Jereld and Jimmy Yocom and one sister-in-law, Marie Yocom.
He is survived by his two children, Rhonda (Ronnie) Freeman and Jody (Bren) Yocom, all of Hope, AR. His brother, Olen (Billie Jean) Yocom, of Hope, AR. Five grandchildren; Zane Freeman, of West Monroe, LA, Dillon Freeman (Niki) of Cale, AR, Carter (Lauren) Yocom, of Hope, AR, Bailey (Eric) White, of Hope, AR and Maicyn Yocom. Six Great-Grandchildren; Brinley Morris, Tate Freeman, Fisher Yocom, Mary-Caroline Yocom, Lawson White and Lucas White and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the nurses and staff at Enhabit Hospice Texarkana, AR for taking such great care of their loved one.
Visitation for Mr. Yocom will be held at Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home on Friday, March 29 from 6-8 pm. Services will be Saturday, March 30 in the Herndon-Fuqua Chapel at 2:00 pm, with burial to follow at Huckabee Cemetery. Officiants: Bro Eric Fisher, Bro Lane Garner and his favorite son in law, Ronnie Freeman.
