Reflections of His Life
Lamonza D. Tolliver Sr.
“Cokie”
On Saturday, March 17, 1984, a handsome baby boy named Lamonza Devar Tolliver Sr. was born in Hope, Arkansas, to James Earl Bradford Sr. and Dorothy Faye Tolliver. Lamonza attended Providence Baptist Church in Hope, AR when he was young.
Lamonza, known to many as 'Cokie,' graduated from Hope High School with the Class of 2002. He also continued his education by studying at the University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana.
Lamonza was someone who loved his family and friends. He loved helping out his community; if you asked, he would give with no questions asked. He was a true neighborhood hero! He also loved cars and didn’t play about his money. Lamonza was the life of the party – fun-spirited and always telling jokes. When you saw him, you saw a smile always. To know him was to love him.
Lamonza worked at Tyson Foods until his health began to decline. On Friday, November 10, 2023, Lamonza gained his wings at LSU Medical Center at the age of 39, with family and friends at his bedside. Although your family is not ready for you to go, God needed you more.
He was preceded in death by his son, Blessing Ross Tolliver; his mother, Dorothy Faye Tolliver; his brother, Ty’Kendrick Bradford; his grandmother, Maeola Ogburn; and his grandfather, Borag 'Boaz' Tolliver.
Lamonza leaves to cherish his memories: his father, James Earl Bradford Sr.; grandmother, Mary Lee Bradford; daughters, Amauri Willis Tolliver and Chyna Tolliver; bonus daughter, Lyrical Phillips; sons, Tevis Maxwell, Lamonza Tolliver Jr., Elijah Tolliver, Debraylnn Tolliver, and Demauri Tolliver; granddaughter, Cameia Barton; brothers, Christian (Ja Rai) Williams Sr., Lincoln (Rhonda) Conway, Darcel Tolliver, Jerome Scott, Rashad Harris, Channing Smith, Earl Waters, James Bradford Jr., and Kemon Harding; sisters, Sherry Bradford, Pamela Bradford, Marquitta Ellis, Jazzma Waters, RaShonda Harris, Shaniyah Bradford, Ja’Kayla Bradford, and Ja’Kaia Bradford; special friend, Brithanie Hawkins; special nephew, Lincoln Conway Jr.; special friends/brothers, Kevin Davis and Antonio Monk; and a host of uncles, aunties, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
