Larry Moses

Mr. Larry “Mo” Moses, age 75 of Hope, Arkansas passed away, Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at Hospice of Texarkana in Texarkana, Texas.  Larry was born in Hope, Arkansas on September 8, 1949, to Agustus “Gus” and Arlene Moses. Larry married Mary Carol Moses on September 2, 1983.

Some are a “jack of all trades and master of none.” That was not Mr. Larry Moses. Larry had many endeavors throughout his life. However, over the last 27 years, Larry has been most known as the owner operator of Main Street Cleaners in Hope, Arkansas. Larry was also a funeral director and certified mortician; a certification that he kept active in the event his services were ever needed for anyone. Larry was also an owner/operator of the Hempstead County Ambulance service in Hope, Arkansas, and Perry’s Restaurant and Truck Stop in Perrytown, Arkansas. Larry excelled in each endeavor, not on his own accord but by God’s grace, placing his focus on serving others through each occupation that his Lord placed him in throughout his life.

Except for the year and a half that Larry lived with his family in Denver, IA, he lived and invested his life and time in Hope, Arkansas. Outside of Larry’s occupational ventures he was an avid BBQ smoker. Larry started a non-for-profit dedicated to smoking meats to raise money for local charitable efforts and for Unity Baptist Church, where he was a devoted member.

Larry was a loving and devoted husband to Mary and her children, Eric Honea and Lindsey Honea and especially their grandchildren; William Wall, Karissa Wall, Christian Honea, and Sophie Finigan. Larry was well known for his infectious smile, his “thumbs up,” and his pressed shirts. Larry is preceded in death by his parents; Gus and Arlene Moses, his wife Mary Moses, and his grandson Christian Lee Honea.

Larry is survived by his son; Eric Honea of Kansas City, Missouri; his daughter, Lindsey Honea of Hope; a brother, Wayne Moses and family of Little Rock, Arkansas; and his grandchildren Sophia Finigan, William Wall and Karissa Wall, other relatives and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday January 4, 2025 in the Brazzel Oakcrest Chapel from 5-7 PM.

Funeral Service will be on Sunday January 5, 2025 at 2:00 PM in the Brazzel Chapel with Bro. Nick Flowers officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
