Linda Love

Linda Joan Love (née Allison) passed away peacefully on July 19, 2024, in Hope, Arkansas, at the age of 81. Born in Hope on August 28, 1942, Joan was a pillar of every community where she lived throughout her adventurous life.  

Joan dedicated 36 years to educating young minds as a teacher, a career that reflected her kind, generous, and caring nature, along with a beautiful smile. Her independent spirit and love for learning left a lasting impact on countless students by ensuring each and every student she encountered felt a sense of belonging. Joan was a proud alumna of Henderson State University, where her passion for education deepened.

Beyond her professional life, Joan was an avid gardener, award-winning painter, and antique collector. These hobbies were a testament to her appreciation for beauty and history, which she loved sharing with her friends and family.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow and Lovenia Allison.

She is survived by her loving family: her sister Joyce Carboni, brother Terry Allison and sister Teresa Campbell, all of Hope, AR; her children,Lance and Allison Davis of Bentonville, AR, Lance and Nancy Love of Hope, AR, and Sean and Elizabeth (Beth) Rogers of Herndon, VA, in addition to 8 grandchildren (Jesse Wooldridge, Tyler Davis, Ashlyn Davis, Lanay Cearley, Ashley Martin, Spencer Reynolds, Callahan Rogers and Donovan Rogers) and 6 great-grandchildren, all who will miss her deeply.

The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Joan's memory to one of the following causes, both of which were close to her heart: Arkansas School for the Deaf Foundation or the Fort Smith Regional Art Museum.

Brazzel Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope, AR, is assisting the family during this time. Joan's life and legacy will be celebrated in a manner befitting her vibrant and warm personality.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 24th from 5pm-7pm at the Brazzel/Oakcrest chapel.

Funeral service will be Thursday, July 25th at 2pm at the Brazzel/Oakcrest chapel with burial to follow at Macedonia Cemetery in Patmos, AR.
