Linda Renee (Nea) Neal

With heavy hearts and cherished memories, we bid farewell to our beloved Linda Renee (Nea) Neal, who peacefully departed this world on the morning of Friday, May 24th, 2024, after bravely facing a brief battle with cancer.

Renee graced this world on December 28th, 1964, born to Elvin Neal and Rachel Rushing in the nurturing embrace of Hope, Arkansas. Her journey took her beyond state lines at a tender age, finding solace with her father in Farmers Branch, Texas. It was there that she embarked on her educational journey, attending Janie Stark Elementary, Vivian Field Jr High, and R.L. Turner High School, shaping her into the remarkable woman we all knew and loved.

A dedicated homemaker, Renee found joy in nurturing her gardens, cultivating beauty amidst the blooms. Yet, her greatest source of happiness lay in the cherished moments spent with her grandchildren, enveloped in their laughter and love, alongside her beloved furry companions who brought warmth to her days.

In the tapestry of her life, Renee leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. She is preceded in death by her father, Elvin L Neal of Coppell, Texas, and her niece, Sara Ellin Hernandez of Marshall, Texas.

Forever held close in the hearts of those she touched, Renee is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Mike Fields. She leaves behind her adoring children, Rachel Barnes (Joe Prince) of Balch Springs, Texas, and Robert Barnes of Dallas, Texas, who carry forward her spirit of resilience and compassion. Her legacy continues through her precious grandchildren, Syrus Rivera, Trinity Prince, and Lillian Prince, all of Balch Springs, Texas, who were the light of her life.

Renee's memory is further cherished by her devoted mother, Rachel Rushing of Hope, Arkansas, and her siblings: Virginia Ann Sartain of Winnsboro, Texas; Kim Angel of Bodcaw, Arkansas; Susan Martin of Hope, Arkansas; Priscilla and Johnny Johnson of Hope, Arkansas; and David Rushing of Hope, Arkansas.

In the tapestry of her family, Renee leaves behind a vast network of love, including nine nieces, eight nephews, five great-nephews, seven great-nieces, and two great-great-nephews, each a testament to the depth of her impact on those around her.

Though she may have bid us farewell from this earthly realm, Renee's spirit lives on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering strength will continue to inspire us all as we carry her memory forward with love and gratitude. Rest peacefully, dear Renee, knowing you are forever cherished and deeply missed.
