Lindy Carol Dearinger, age 52, was born November 24, 1971, and entered the arms of Jesus on September 6, 2024, after a short illness. She was preceded in death by her father William Bill Dearinger, maternal grandparents A.R. and Eudora Hamm and paternal grandparents Wilber and Doris Dearinger and a brother, Jared Dearinger.
She is survived by her mother, Carolyn Watts, two sisters Lora Snell (Richard) and Callie Fore (Chris), one brother Jacob Dearinger (Jessica), two nieces Haylee Crocker and Clair Fore, three nephews Landon Snell, Cole Fore, Rowan Dearinger, two great nieces Emmalynn and Skylyn Crocker, and a host of aunts and uncles.
She was a resident of Heather Manor Nursing and Rehab for the last 10 months and made many new friends with the staff there.
Lindy always had a contagious smile and made friends everywhere she went. She spent many years as a client at Rainbow of Challenges until she retired with her mother. She graduated from Hope High School in 1993, as the first student with down syndrome to graduate there. Lindy will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family would like to thank Heather Manor Staff, Wadley Hope, Wadley Texarkana, Dr. Miller and Gentiva Hospice for all of the great care they gave Lindy over the last ten months.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
