Lizzie Mae Walker was born February 6, 1941 in Washington, Arkansas to the late M.C. and Mary Lee Carrigan.

She was married to the late Benjamin Walker, Sr. for 57 years.  Lizzie was a member of St. Paul C.M.E Church of Washington, Arkansas.  She was employed for a number of years at Washington Elementary.  Lizzie was an avid card player.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter, and two brothers.

Lizzie leaves to cherish her memories are her children, Rubye Marks (Rickey), Glenn Walker (Betty), Barbara Walker, Lisa Walker (Adrian), Benjamin Walker, Jr. (Ashley), Keisha Walker; son-in-law, Clarence Blackwell; one sister, Odessa Deloney (D.C.); two brothers, John Muldrew and Ben Carrigan (Arlene); one aunt, Ella Caple; along with 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 12-5pm Friday at the funeral home.  Graveside service will be 5pm Saturday, August 1 at Washington Cemetery in Washington.  Arrangements entrusted to Hicks Funeral Home, Inc.
