Lovena Ebling Barber, age 87, of Maineville, Ohio, formerly of Hope, Arkansas, passed away Monday, January 18, 2021, in Maineville. She was born May 28, 1933, in Fulton, Arkansas, to Leon Edson Ebling and Reba Atkerson Ebling. She was preceded in death by her husband, T.J. Barber, her parents, and two brothers, J.B. Ebling and Billy Ebling.
Survivors include her daughter, Julie Barber Cochran; two grandchildren, Krista Cochran Crum (Brian) and Scott Cochran (Krista); and three great-grandchildren, Clayton Crum, Corbin Crum, and Evelyn Hope Cochran all of Maineville; four sisters and one brother.
She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter No. 328 in Hope, Arkansas and served as a past worthy matron. Before moving to Ohio, she was an active member of First Baptist Church in Hope where she taught preschoolers in Sunday School. She retired from Sears after more than twenty years of service. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Maineville.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 24, 2021, at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Hope, Arkansas. Bro. Daniel Bramlett will officiate. Burial will follow. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Herndon Fuqua Funeral Home.
