Mr. Lyle R. Fitzhugh, age 86, of Prescott, AR, passed away on Monday November 13, 2023, in Texarkana, TX. He was born on November 30, 1936, to Lyle and Esma Fitzhugh Sr. He was retired from 21 years as Gunnery Sgt of the Marine Corp and a longtime member of the Central Baptist Church. He is preceded by both parents, brother Billy Fitzhugh, two sisters Virginia Garner and Barbara Whiesenhunt. 

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Wava Fitzhugh of Prescott, AR, son Lyle “Buddy” Fitzhugh (Bennie) of Fouke, AR, daughter Ladonna Fitzhugh of Prescott, AR, three grandchildren Kimberly Carlton (Kevin) of Prescott, AR, Chase Fitzhugh (Aspen) of Haskell, AR, Ben Mitchell (Susan) of Prescott, AR, 3 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and relatives. 

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Central Baptist Church Building Fund, 615 E 2nd St S. Prescott, AR 71857. 

Graveside service will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday November 15, 2023, at the Liberty Cemetery in Redland Community with Bro. Roy Johnson officiating. No visitation prior.
