Lynn Norton, age 69, of Ragley, Louisiana, formerly of Hope, passed away on December 14, 2022, at his home surrounded by family.

Mr. Norton was born on October 3, 1953, in Hope, Arkansas to his parents Bill and Cora Mae Norton. Lynn grew up in Hope and played for the Hope Bobcat Football team throughout high school. After graduation, he was wanted by many schools to play either baseball or football, but decided to stay closer to home. He chose to go to Fayetteville, Arkansas where he played football for the Arkansas Razorbacks. He was known for his big heart and for his positive attitude. Lynn was a great father but an out of this world papaw. 

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Sonny Boy; sister, Peggy Sue Thigpen; nephew, KiKer; and niece, Lisa Hatch. 

Left to cherish his memory are his two sons, Teddy Lynn Norton and wife Candi of Ragley, Louisiana, Jim Bob Norton and wife Ciara of Ragley, Louisiana; four grandsons, Andrew, Dwight, Jace, and Robert Lee all of Ragley, Louisiana; one sister, Judy Lyons of Hammond, Louisiana; one brother, Ossie Norton of Ragley, Louisiana; along with a host of other family and friends. 

There will be two visitations held for Mr. Norton, one being Friday, December 16, 2022 at Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home Hope between 6:00 – 9:00 pm and again on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home-Hope between 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. 

Funeral service will follow visitation at 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home with Bro. Rodney Still officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery under the direction of Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home-Hope.
