Mrs. Mamie Lee Staggers was born to late Bowden and Sarah Jordan January 24, 1925 in Tollette, Arkansas.
The Lord called her home to live with Him on July 14, 2020 at Howard Memorial Hospital in Nashville, Arkansas.
In 1947, she married the love of her life, Mr. Qunicy Staggers to this union nine children were born. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Quincy Staggers; one daughter, Mrs. Frances Johnson; two sons-in-law, Mr. George Johnson and Mr. Earl Mays.
She leaves to cherish her memory, four sons, Presiding Elder Cecil Staggers (Peggy) of Nashville, Arkansas, George Staggers (Faye), Johnny Staggers, Jessie Staggers (Eva) all of Ozan; four daughters, Ora Mays of Ozan, Gracie McFadden (Jimmy) of Mineral Springs, Vanessa Green (James) of Ozan, Victoria Phillips of Ozan; two she raised as her own, Cornelius Ester (Melody) of Ozan and Lavette Ester Brown (Cedrick) of Hope; adopted son, James Rankins (Rhonda) of Hope; like a sister, Mrs. Vanilla Golston; and a special friend, Cleaster Willis; 18 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 3 great, great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be 11am-5pm Friday at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 11am Saturday, July 18 at St. Luke CME Church. Burial will be at Gamble Cemetery in Ozan. Arrangements entrusted to Hicks Funeral Home, Inc.
