Margaret Etta Gamble was born February 7, 1930 to the late Robert and Margaret Gamble in Hope, Arkansas.
She joined Mt. Zion CME Church at an early age. She served as a Missionary until her health failed.
Margaret had numerous children, besides her 13 that she bared. Margaret was known to most as Mama, Granny and most of all, Ms. Tiny. She loved to cook, she canned, she also raised chickens.
Margaret was loving, caring, and would share with anyone. She would never turn anyone away. You would never known if she was hurting or if anything was wrong because she was always smiling.
Margaret was called Home on June 30, 2020 at her home surrounded by loved one and friends.
Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Margaret Gamble; two children, Earnest Standokes, Wanda Works; four sisters, Ore Lee Gamble, Fannie Hubbert, Bobbie Morrison, Judy Mae Scott; four brothers, Burndell Gamble, Adel Gamble, Verdell Gamble, James Gamble; one son-in-law, Charlie Ogden, Jr.
Margaret leaves to cherish her moving memory; one sister, Evelyn Stuart of Denton, TX; seven daughters, Carolyn Whitmore, Brenda Randle (Grady), Joyce Ogden, Shirley Bass, Annette Smith (Kenneth) all of Hope, Arkansas; Felicia Aparicio (Maurice) of Emmet, Arkansas, Doris Black (Willie) of Denver, Colorado; four sons, Eugene Carrigan of Flint, Michigan, David Carrigan of Texarkana, Arkansas, James Carrigan and Robert Carrigan both of Hope, Arkansas; 50 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; 13 great, great, grandchildren; a very special sister-in-law, Johnnie Mae Gamble; her buddy, Timothy Dewayne Morgan; her loving family at Davita; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be 11am-5pm, family hour 6-7pm Monday at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 11am Tuesday, July 8 at Mt. Zion CME Church, Hope. Burial will be at Cave Hill #2 Cemetery, Hope. Arrangements entrusted to Hicks Funeral Home, Inc.
