Margie Douglas Buck, 94, of Hope passed away Thursday, October 22, 2022 at her home.

Margie was born October 27, 1927 to Clio Mitchell and Lera Bailey Mitchell in Rosston, AR. Margie retired from the sewing industry at Shan-House, she was an amazing seamstress and made clothes for her family. She loved to shop, travel, and cook for the lodge while David hunted. She loved Jesus and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Margie was kind-hearted and generous, but she could tell you what she was thinking.

Margie was preceded by her parents; first husband Jessie Douglas; brother Lynn Mitchell; sisters Shirley Johnson and Bobbie Jean Toms; and daughter Sharon Guin.

Margie is survived by her husband, David Buck; step-son Bryan Buck of Ashdown; granddaughter Kim (Jeff) Whitlock of Minden, LA; grandson Doug (Jennifer) Black; four great-grandchildren Colby Whitlock, Sydney (Jacob) Mouser, Phoenix (Savannah) Johnson, and Tyler Moses; five great-great-grandchildren; special friend and caregiver Shelonda Stephens; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was loved by her family and will be missed.

Visitation is scheduled 1:00-2:00pm Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home in Hope. Chapel service to follow at 2:00pm with Bro. Revel Kidd officiating. Interment following at Union Cemetery in Bodcaw, under the direction of Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home.
