Marjorie Corinne Russell Butler

Marjorie Corinne Russell Butler was born October 25th, 1931 to C.B. and Wanda Russell, in Bodcaw , Arkansas. Mrs. Butler retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone company, then later in life started MB’s Redoables, a used furniture and antique shop. She was a savvy business woman which she learned from her parents at Russell’s C. Curb Market. She passed this trait down to her children and grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Billy Joe, her parents, and two siblings. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Belinda Stuart and husband Sam; Carolyn Butler Willmon; and BillyBob Butler and wife Julie. Along with numerous grandchildren and great grand children to carry on her legacy. Grandchildren include: Margaux Stuart Helvey and husband Gregg, Wynne Stuart and wife Holly, Hallie Stuart; Emily Willmon Hamilton and husband David; Brandi Butler Tuttle, and Bridget Butler. Great grand children are Bryer and Maribelle Helvey; Henry, Shirley Jo, Ruby Stuart; Kai, Kason, Kowen Hamilton; Blane, Rhett, Liley Kay Tuttle. Special friend and Caregiver Kevin Turner.

Marjorie was way ahead of her time in life and a trendsetter that knew vintage was cool before it was cool. Marjorie and Billy Joe were married for 56 loving years! They were always on the go and lived life to the fullest! She also enjoyed being in her yard, planting flowers, gardening, and gathering all of the fruits and vegetables to can. She never left the house without her jewelry and red lipstick. There was never a holiday at her house that wasn’t fully decorated for, she was an over the top hostess with the mostest. She recently celebrated her 90th birthday but she swore it was her 80th, with a big bash with all of her friends and family. A day didn’t go by that she didn’t exercise her sharp mind and complete a crossword puzzle. She loved to paint, attend the horse races, and go to the casino but most of all she loved Jesus! She was one of the first members of First Baptist Church of Hope and she enjoyed many years devoting services to the nursery.

The family would like to give a very special thank you to Kindred Hospice, Carolyn Willmon, Charlotte Bobo and Kevin Turner. Kevin was with her from day one of her failing health and took amazing care of her.
