Reflections of Her Life
Mrs. Martha Ann Henderson
It was a lovely Saturday morning, August 17, 1946, when Lena Isiah and Otis Dennis welcomed their beautiful daughter Martha Ann Dennis into the world. Martha Ann, also known as Mot, found Christ at an early age and joined Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church where she was a faithful member. Her angelic voice and loving spirit touched the hearts of many. Martha Ann went on to graduate from Yerger High School in Hope, Arkansas.
Later in life, she met and married Mitchell Henderson. She was also employed by General Farms for over 20 years. Martha Ann then worked for Tyson Hatchery for another 10 years, proving to be no stranger to hard work. After retiring from there, she spent time enjoying family, friends, and being with her sons around the softball field and basketball court.
Leaving a lasting impression on the lives of many, early Monday morning on May 31, 2021, Martha Ann gained her wings peacefully at home in a room filled with family and loved ones. She will be missed dearly.
Martha Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Mitchell Henderson; parents, Lena Isiah and Otis Dennis; sisters, Ola Mae Dennis, Josephine Boyd and Darlene Johnson; brothers, Robert Dennis and Douglas “Mack” Dennis.
She leaves to cherish her memories: three sons, Robert Epps, Stacey Epps, Michael (Charlene) Flenory all of Hope, AR, and a special nephew who she raised and loved as her own son, Antonio Evans; two sisters, Doris Donaldson and Jolena Dennis both of Hope, AR; two brothers, Thomas “Turk” Dennis of Sacramento, California and Jerry Dale Dennis of Houston, Texas; special friend, James “Shine” Robinson; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
