Mary Ebba Vail, 90, of Hope, AR passed away Friday, January 26, 2024, in Hope.

Miss Vail was born April 9, 1933, in Kunsan, Korea to her missionary parents, John Benjamin and Ebba Parker Vail.

Mary became a Registered Nurse in 1958 after graduating from Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing in St. Louis, MO.  She worked full time in hospitals in Missouri, Indiana, Illinois, and Arkansas. She was the House Supervisor at Medical Park Hospital from 1983 to 1993, she then worked in Home Health until 1998.  After retiring she became a Volunteer in the Medical Park Hospital Auxiliary and helped in the hospital gift shop. Mary also raised, showed, and sold Siamese cats. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Hope.

Mary is survived by her sister Betty Hauwiller.

The way to heaven was paved by her parents John B. Vail and Ebba Vail, sister Margie, brothers Johnny and Andrews. She will be missed by many friends and acquaintances near and far. Services are under the direction of Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home of Hope.
