On July 5, 2020, God whispered into the ear of Sis. Maybell Hamilton, come my child, you’ve labored long and hard, take your rest.

She was born to the late Estella Sims and Artis West.  Sis. Hamilton united with the Union Hill Baptist Church at an early age.  After moving to California, she united with the Baptist Church, there after retiring.  She moved back home to care for her mother, she then reunited with the Union Hill Baptist Church.

She leaves to mourn her passing:  the children she raised, Tony Barton, Travis Barton, Hillary Barton of California; her adopted sons, Eddie Hall (Wanda), Jessie Jointer (Alice) and Alfred Hall (Loretta); her adopted many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a loving caretaker, Landay Berry Hall; a special loving cousin, Emma Jackson and children; Lucy and her siblings; and numerous loving relatives and friends. 

Visitation will be 12-5pm Thursday at the funeral home.  Graveside service will be 11am Friday, July 10 at Union Hill Cemetery in Lewisville.  Arrangements entrusted to Hicks Funeral Home, Inc.
