Mrs. Merlyn Watson, age 90 of Prescott, Arkansas, passed away Thursday December 26, 2024, at her home. Merlyn was born on December 3, 1934, in St. Louis, Missouri to E. E. and Ora Teschmacher Fohrell. She was a retired high school teacher and a member of First United Methodist Church in Prescott. She was a founder and benefactor for the Fohrell public library in Sparkman, Arkansas for over 60 years Merlyn published a newsletter for the Sparkman Alumni Association. She was a member of the retired Arkansas teacher and library association. Merlyn not only obtained a degree in secondary education but also a masters in school counseling. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Marvin Watson and sister Nancy Gist.

Survivors include. Three sons, Jeff Watson, Clarksville, Arkansas, Patrick Watson, Hot Springs, Arkansas, Merrall Watson, Prescott, Arkansas, two grandchildren, Thomas and Cory Watson.

No Family visitation is planned.
