Mr. Tony Arness Turner

On the evening of March 12, 2024, God was walking in His flower garden when He saw a rose ready to be picked, and that beautiful rose was Mr. Tony Arness Turner. Tony Arness Turner was born to the late Mr. Roy Chester Turner Sr. and Cleonia Marie Smith-Turner on December 22, 1967, in Hope, Arkansas.

Tony began his education at Garland Elementary School and continued on to Yerger Middle School. He graduated from Hope High School in 1986 and attended Southern Arkansas University after graduation. Mr. Turner also served in the United States Navy Reserves. He attended Union Missionary Baptist Church of Fulton, Arkansas, and later, Mount Pleasant Baptist Church of Ogden, Arkansas.

Mr. Turner met and fell in love with Miss Zita Barefield, and they were united in holy matrimony on September 24, 2005. To this union, one child was born. He was employed at Heldeberg Materials, formerly Lehigh Hanson, of Wilton, AR. Tony was a gentle, kind-hearted, and soft-spoken person who loved people.

He was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Roy Chester Turner Sr., and brother, Dr. Roy Chester Turner Jr.

Mr. Tony Arness Turner leaves to cherish his memories; his devoted wife, Zita Turner; loving mother, Cleonia Marie Smith Turner; son, Jayden Chase Turner; daughter, Dynesha Elizabeth Cleshay Turner; grandson, Dominique DeJohn Robertson; granddaughter, Aubrelle Aryah Robertson; brother, Terrence Lorenzo Turner; uncles, James (Camelia) Smith, William Turner Jr., Oliver Smith, Johnny (Terri) Turner, Charles (Cynthia) Smith; aunts, Nettie Duckworth, Ruby Centeno, Annie Jackson, Audrey Howard, Louise Harris; and a host of cousins, close relatives, and friends.
