Mrs. Jennie Sue Aslin, age 86 of Hope, AR passed away Wednesday, May 20,2020 in Texarkana, TX. Mrs. Aslin was born February 7, 1934 in Hope, AR. She was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church and loving mother and grandmother. She loved to cook, decorate her home and yard, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Ed Aslin and brother, Henderson Allen.
Survivors include, two sons; Ronald L. “Red” Smith, wife Kim of Hope, and Eddie Aslin, wife Carolyn of Hope, one daughter; Pam Markham husband Scott of Conway, AR, one sister; Berlie Fuller of Tyler, TX, six grandchildren; Matt Aslin, Jake Aslin, Shannon Cook, Shelley Youngblood, Allie Porter, Keith Bailey, eleven great grandchildren; Langley Aslin, Frances Aslin, Addison Cook, Riley Youngblood, Hayden Youngblood, Cami Porter, Alyssa Porter, Vivian Porter, Mackenzie Bailey, Ethan Hendershott, Shelley Hendershott.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Southwest Arkansas ARTS Council or First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 400, Hope, AR 71802
Graveside service will be 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 23, 2020 at Rosehill Cemetery in Hope, with Rev. David Porterfield and Rev. Steve Johnson officiating.
