Mrs. Patsy Ann Dudley, 83, formerly from Hope, AR, passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2024, in Midlothian Texas. Patsy was born to Clora Lee Willett and Henry Ansley Willett in Hope, Arkansas, on February 12, 1941.
She is proceeded in death by her parents, Henry Ansley Willett and Clora Lee Willett, her husband, of 56 years, Earl Halbert Dudley, and her brother, Ansley “Sonny” Willett. Survivors include two daughters, Kim Dorsett and her husband Kenny of Heath, Texas, and Felicia Hill and her husband Bryan of Midlothian, Texas, three grandsons, Kelly Dorsett, Blake Hill, and Kyle Hill, brother-in-law, Charles Dudley of Hope, and a host of relatives and friends.
Patsy loved working in her garden, sewing, reading, cooking, and especially baking sweets and making candy. Patsy always had a big heart to help others. She joined the Oak Cliff Women’s Club in Dallas, the Christian Women’s Club, the DeSoto Extension Homemakers Club in DeSoto, Texas, and the Hempstead County Extension Homemakers club in Hope, Arkansas. She loved sewing dolls for children in hospitals, teaching 4th graders how to cook, and volunteering in the Hempstead County and District Fairs. Her friends remember that she loved to attend the state trainings in Hot Springs to learn about Mediterranean cooking and gardening from horticulturalists.
Patsy was the most caring, forgiving, and selfless person anyone could have known. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be 12:00pm to 1:00pm on Friday, November 1, 2024, with funeral service at 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Brazzel Oakcrest Funeral Home, 1001 South Main, Hope, Arkansas.
