Remembering Randy “Goober” Blanchett
On August 27, 1969, Randy Fitzgerald Blanchett, affectionately known as “Goober,” was born in Hope, Arkansas to Laura Ann (Carnell) Muldrow and Dossie Lee Blanchett Jr. Randy departed this life on May 24, 2024, at his residence in Hope, AR, at the age of 54.
Throughout his journey, Randy accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. He attended Hope Well Loop School and graduated from Hope High School with the Class of 1987. He had a variety of hobbies and interests including fishing, riding horses, playing the lottery, playing cards, playing baseball, and cooking. Most of all, Randy loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. He will always hold a special place in all of our hearts.
He is preceded in death by his father, Dossie Lee Blanchett Jr., and siblings, Ronnie Blanchett and Gina Blanchett-Lloyd.
Randy leaves the following loved ones to cherish his memories: his mother, Laura Ann (Carnell) Muldrow; five children, Randy L. Blanchett, Orlando Muldrew, Courtney Blanchett, Cjay Smith, and Ashley Glenn; four bonus children, Trisha Phillips, Michael Phillips, Pamela Phillips, and Veronica Blanchett; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; special friend, Chrinda Phillips; siblings, Larry (Alessandra) Muldrew, Wanda Blanchett (Eric) Ware, Lawrence Blanchett, twins Sharon Blanchett (Stacy) Johnson and Shannon Blanchett (Jack) Hussey, Damon Blanchett, Veronica Bradley, Michael (Stephanie) Blanchett, Gerard (Kim) Blanchett, Darryl Thomas, and Lana Blanchett (Russell) Massey; special granddaughter who he loved dearly, Kayla Muldrew; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
